Joe Wein
Director/Producer

Joe’s directorial journey took a remarkable turn with his feature debut, “76 Days.” Prior to this compelling documentary, he honed his craft by directing an array of music videos and commercials, showcasing his versatile storytelling skills.

Notably, Joe’s short film “Goldfish” garnered acclaim as an official selection at the Tribeca Film Festival. The film achieved significant recognition, securing the Grand Jury Award at Gen Art, the Audience Award at The Austin Film Festival, and the title of Best Comedy Short at the Savannah Film Festival, among other accolades. Its widespread success led to distribution by Shorts International.

As a screenwriter, Joe has written projects for Paramount, Universal, and Fox. His impactful work earned him a spot in Variety Magazine’s “Top Ten Screenwriters to Watch.”

STEVEN CALLAHAN
Executive Producer/Author

Callahan holds a university degree in Philosophy. A naval architect by training, Callahan has designed and built boats, taught design, lived aboard, raced, and cruised boats of all kinds.

Steven served as Marine and Survival Consultant for films The Life of Pi and In the Heart of the Sea. Since the 1980s, he has also written widely for the yachting press worldwide, has been a contributing editor to Sail and Sailor magazines, senior editor of Cruising World, has authored Adrift and Capsized, the story of four men who drifted for four months on an overturned, half-flooded boat.

He’s also lectured widely and contributed to a number of other books on design, seamanship, and survival. His best-selling book Adrift: 76 Days Lost At Sea was on The New York Times best-seller list for more than 36 weeks.

ERIC ADKINS
Director Of Photography

Most recently, Eric was the Director of Photography for “Marcel the Shell with Shoes On,” which was nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Film in 2023. He is widely known as the cinematographer for Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Inheritance, and The Truth.

His extensive VFX work includes Mars Attacks!, We Own the Night, House M.D., and several animated shows including, The PJs, Hell and Back, Spongebob Squarepants, and The Box Trolls.

He has filmed countless movies, television shows, and documentaries. His commercial work includes cinematographer for: Honda, Nissan, Coca-Cola, Bacardi USA, Miller/Coors, Converse, Fila, Reebok, Nintendo, Mattel, USPS, ESPN, NBC, Shell Oil, Nabisco, Kellogg Company, and more.

PATRICK STUMP
Composer

Patrick is a singer, songwriter, and record producer best known as the lead vocalist and composer of all music for the band Fall Out Boy.

He has recently scored music for the films Gnome Alone, Spell, and Changeland.

With Fall Out Boy he has placed many singles in the top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100. Their album Infinity on High was their first to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200, with two more hitting the top spot in 2013 and 2015. The band has toured extensively, having performed over 1,300 shows since their inception.

Patrick has written music for Big Hero 6, Ghostbusters (2016), and wrote the score for the new Hulk ride at Universal Orlando.

GERRIT FOLSOM
Line Producer/UPM

Gerrit is an Emmy-Winning Producer with 30 years of production experience on over 25 films, 40 television shows and hundreds of commercials. He has built a strong reputation for budgeting and scheduling projects and then delivering on time and on budget.

For the past 10 years, he has worked at the Oscar and multiple Emmy award winning production company, Scout. While at Scout he rose to become the EIC (Executive in Charge of Production); prepping, budgeting and overseeing several movie projects and hundreds of hours of television series.

Prior to working at Scout, he had a long career in theatrical films including: line producing Sony Classic’s Dancing at Lughnasa starring Meryl Streep and New Line Cinema’s Mortal Kombat Annihilation which was filmed in England, Jordan, and Thailand. Stateside he produced the 20th Century Fox picture Where The Heart Is with Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd, and he headed up the Hawaiian unit for director Tim Burton’s 20th Century Fox film Planet Of the Apes. He has also worked on films with legendary directors John Woo, Sam Raimi, Mike Figgis and Ken Russell.

Robert F. Sennott
Executive Producer

Rob Sennott is an entrepreneur, investor, and producer. Most recently, he was an Executive Producer of the documentary WBCN The American Revolution, which was short-listed for the 2021 Academy Awards by The Wrap. He has built several real estate information service companies that sold to NYSE companies. Rob served on the board of The Upper Valley Haven, a housing shelter and food pantry in Hartford, Vermont, for six years. During that time, he innovated a funding effort by producing and promoting music concerts to raise awareness and capital for the Haven attracting artists Richie Havens, Arlo Guthrie, Suzanne Vega, Little Feet, Bruce Hornsby, John Hiatt, Bud Guy, Cyndi Lauper, and more. He is a major donor and advisor to the non-profit organization, GroundTruth, which supports the next generation of journalists to do high-impact reporting in under-covered corners of America and across the world.

Rob has known Steve Callahan for more than fifty years and has followed his story with keen interest and great admiration. He is excited to share the story of hope and resilience that is captured in Adrift.

Janet Lessnau
Executive Producer

Janet is an accomplished leader with over 25 years of experience in Marketing Strategy and New Business Development. She has also volunteered and successfully led dozens of fundraising campaigns to support local non-profit organizations in the communities she has resided in.

Janet felt a strong connection the first time she read “Adrift 76 days lost at sea” and in recent years has had numerous conversations with Steven Callahan about his journey and survival at sea as well as life after being rescued. She is very much looking forward to helping the team bring this documentary to life.

ROGER HATFIELD
Marine Coordinator

Steven and Roger share a love of the sea having designed, built and ventured forth in their own boats at young ages. Before Steven sailed away on his fateful trip, they vowed to celebrate its completion at Roger’s home in the Virgin Islands. Four worrisome months passed . . .

Roger is the co-founder and designer of Gold Coast Yachts (GCY) whose vessels set the charter-multihull standard and were copied world-wide. The boats are predominantly high-end catamarans carrying millions of tourists to spectacular destinations in the Caribbean, Hawaii, North and Central America. The VI. Government appreciates their contribution to the community.

Volunteering has been a theme in his life. He adopted an Afro-Caribbean child in the early eighties and then served as a Scoutmaster. He co-founded the USVI Triathlon Federation teaching children swimming, biking and running skills. Currently, Roger, and his wife of 50 years, remain active in community service. He would love to see Steven’s philosophy of acceptance, clarity and reverence for life shared with a world that appears to be transiting toward ever greater chaos.

Sandra Goroff

Sandy is a highly regarded, award-winning veteran publicist who handled all publicity efforts for the original release in 1986 of Steven Callahan’s book Adrift: 76 Days Lost At Sea. Advertising Age Magazine once chose Sandy as among the top hundred marketers in the U.S., and she has been profiled in the Wall Street Journal and the Boston Globe, among other media outlets. She has handled publicity for many other celebrated authors and experts, including Clive Cussler, Garrison Keillor, Dr. Jane Goodall, President Jimmy Carter, Roger Tory Peterson, Peter Guralnick, Maurice Sendak, and Tom Peters. She also served as a publicist for the movie Little Pink House.
